Project 1 | Revit Modelling & Documentation
From this project, I was able to learn the basic navigation and functions of Revit to produce a model of a two-storey building. From the tutorial lessons as well as the weekly reading materials, I was able to generate the walls, roofs, stairs, floor, curtain wall, doors and windows required to form my desired building. Besides, lessons were also given on the different features provided by Revit such as the displacement of components, callouts, sectional perspectives and so on. By the end of the project, we were required to document all of our drawings and present them professionally in sheets. In addition, we were to capture our works along the way to record our Work in Progress (WIP) as a progressive evidence. I'm grateful to have Mr. Koh as my tutor who has guided me along the way with clear instructions and helpful tips and advice. This project is beneficial for me as I'm a complete beginner in Revit and this has helped me as I work on the models for my studio assignments.
Project 2 | Exterior & Interior Rendering
From this project, I was able to learn the basic navigation and functions of 3DS Max to render a photorealistic model of a two-storey building. From the tutorial lessons as well as the weekly reading materials, I was able to create materials for 3D objects, use lights in 3DS Max for exterior and interior rendering, set up photographic compositions using cameras in 3DS Max for final rendering, understand and execute the appropriate rendering settings and finally enhancing the visual outcome of the renderings using post-production tools. I'm grateful to have Mr. Koh as my tutor who has provided me with clear instructions and helpful video tutorials on 3DSMax. As a complete beginner in 3DS Max, this module has helped me a lot in my final renderings of my model.
